Lemala Nanyukie
One of the newer safari lodges in the Serengeti National Park, Nanyukie, a luxurious tented camp in Eastern Serengeti, has been added to Lemala's expanding collection.
OVERVIEW
Lemala Nanyukie is a 45-minute drive east of the Seronera Airstrip in the park’s central region, with panoramic views across the endless plains of the Serengeti. The lodge sits on a grassy savannah dotted with rocky kopjes and shaded by ancient giant acacia trees.
The 15 luxurious guest tents, including a family-friendly two-bedroom suite, are spaced well apart for privacy. Each canvas-roofed tent has a generous bathroom and delightful wooden deck with sunken seating and a plunge pool. The views directly across the Serengeti’s magnificent grasslands mean it’s easy to ‘verandah safari’ here, with regular sightings of elephant, giraffe, zebra and more, parading past the property. A central lounge, dining area and outdoor viewing deck leads to a larger swimming pool, with the option of lantern-lit outdoor dining. A separate spa tent hidden amongst the trees, offers therapeutic massages.
Crossed by the thrilling wildlife spectacle of the annual wildebeest migration, this secluded area of the Serengeti has high-density game viewing and is particularly well-known for its large concentration of cats. Game drives and safari walks are accompanied by Lemala’s highly knowledgeable and experienced guides.
Seeing animals is exciting for children and Tanzania has great appeal for families. Lemala Cubs offers children under 12 a wide range of opportunities to experience and enjoy the magic of the African bush.
