Elerai Camp
Set in a quiet 5,000-acre private conservation area just outside Amboseli, Elerai Camp has privileged, uninterrupted views over both the national park in one direction, and Mt Kilimanjaro in the other.
OVERVIEW
The short distance from Amboseli National Park, makes Elerai Camp an excellent base from which to explore the park, and then return beyond the park’s boundaries, to enjoy walking safaris and night drives, without many other game vehicles about.
Designed and built using local materials, Elerai is a truly unique camp. There are 12 mountain-facing tents all ensuite, and 5 large cottage rooms with huge comfortable beds and private verandas.
Meal times at Elerai are a real highlight, with chefs preparing a variety of dishes using locally grown fruit and vegetables. On a clear night tables are set out on the terrace for dining under the stars and front row seats for the spectacular Kilimanjaro. The mighty mountain is often clear early evening and later on, beautifully illuminated by the moon.
