Gondar Hills Resort is a distinctive retreat and one of the flagship properties within Nziza Hospitality. Set on a striking hilltop overlooking the historic city of Gondar, once the royal capital of Ethiopia, the resort enjoys expansive views of the ancient castles, surrounding countryside, and the city below. Established in 2019, it combines modern eco-friendly design with architectural elements inspired by Gondar’s medieval heritage, reflecting the cultural depth of northern Ethiopia.

The resort offers 72 to 78 spacious suites and stone cottages, including double, twin, and family accommodations. Each unit is thoughtfully designed with whitewashed walls, wooden flooring, local artwork, and handcrafted furnishings that reflect Ethiopian style. Large windows or French doors open onto private balconies or verandas, allowing guests to fully appreciate the surrounding views. The family cottages are arranged over two levels, featuring both double and twin rooms, making them ideal for families and groups.

Dining is centered around a main restaurant and bar with both indoor and outdoor seating. The terrace provides panoramic views over Gondar and its landscape, while the menu features a mix of traditional Ethiopian cuisine and selected international dishes. Guests can also enjoy a café serving light refreshments, along with a hilltop swimming pool, sun deck, and pool bar designed for relaxation.
