Ongava Lodge

OVERVIEW

Situated in the foothills of the Ondundozonanandana range, along the southern boundary of Etosha National Park, the vantage point of Ongava Lodge is exceptional. Like a very large and splendid treehouse, made of pine, teak and thatch, Ongava Lodge is arguably the most luxurious spot in Namibia, boasting 14 rock-and-thatch en suite chalets, each with expansive views over the reserve from a private elevated deck. Both the main lounge and dining area look out over the camp’s bustling waterhole popular with lions and rhinos, and at night guests dine under the stars. There is an inviting pool to cool off in the heat of the day.

Guided afternoon and evening game drives take place on the private Ongava Game Reserve with a chance to view the resident white and black rhino, as well as lion, antelope and black-faced impala. Head into Namibia’s prime savannah wilderness, with a full or half-day trip to Etosha National Park, to visit the springs and the vast, oval-shaped Etosha Pan – Africa’s largest salt pan.
