Sala’s Camp

Intimate and luxurious, Sala’s Camp is located at the convergence of the Sand and Keekorok rivers, in the heart of the Masai Mara. This sublime location means that it is less than two kilometres from the Tanzanian border and thus enjoys wonderful views into the Serengeti National Park. Between July and September it is the first property in the Masai Mara to welcome the annual Great Migration, when over a million wildebeest pour into the Masai Mara from the Serengeti.

Sala’s Camp offers an authentic Masai Mara safari experience, with impeccable service and superb cuisine. Here you will find a traditional under-canvas safari experience with contemporary creature comforts, including private plunge pools and glass-fronted tents.

The seven elegant safari tents include honeymoon and family tents, complete with en-suite bathrooms with hot showers, separate bathtubs, running water and flushing toilets. On overcast days, solar-power electricity is supplemented with a standby generator.

After thrilling game drives, there is nothing better than relaxing on your private riverside deck or taking a refreshing dip in your own plunge pool, although the entire camp has lovely spots in which to curl up with a book or spot wildlife on the opposite riverbank. Guided nature walks and games in camp add to the fun, and cook-out breakfasts and sundowners out on the savannah make for magical memories.
