Saruni Samburu

OVERVIEW

As the only lodge in over 200,000 acres of unspoiled wilderness teeming with wildlife to explore exclusively, the safari experience at Saruni is intimate and truly exceptional. Accommodation is in six villas, four of which are large enough for a family and all the rooms, including the bathrooms, have spectacular views. A firepit on the open veranda warms cool Samburu nights, and the sizeable sitting areas in each villa are great for private dinners.

Activities include day and night game drives guided by Samburu warriors passionate about their land and culture, along with walking safaris, picnics, bush dinners and sundowners. There are helicopter excursions, scenic flights and visits to the Reteti Elephant Sanctuary a little further afield, or a trek up the Sacred Mountain (Mount Ololokwe). Alternatively, take things a little slower with yoga, the spa and swimming pools, or simply watch the world go by from the photographic hide overlooking the waterhole.
