OVERVIEW

Its superb situation on a riverbend of the Mara River in the remote Lamai triangle means this luxury camp is one of the finest locations in the Serengeti to catch spectacular river crossings during the annual Great Migration. The area is famous for its year-round concentrations of resident wildlife, including plains game, big cats, elephants, crocodiles and hippos.

Singita Mara River Tented Camp epitomizes elegant safari style. A neutral palette of natural fibres, stonework and raw leather is brought to life with pops of Maasai primary colours and artworks by young African designers. Underpinning the laidback luxury is an eco-aware consciousness: the entire camp is off-grid and uses solar power, while only recycled and natural materials were used in the camp. The plunge pool at the main camp area is perfect for a refreshing dip after the excitement of a game drive.

The camp accommodates 16 guests in six luxurious permanent tents, two of which are family tents. Each tent is river-facing, with an inside and outside shower, an outside bath, and a private game-viewing deck. The tents are beautifully furnished in contemporary safari style, with romantic mosquito nets draped over the crisp cotton-clad beds.
