Haile Resort, Arba Minch

Overview

Perched on a forested hillside, Haile Resort Arba Minch looks out over Lake Abaya, Lake Chamo, and the Great Rift Valley beyond. Founded by Ethiopian running legend Haile Gebrselassie and renovated in 2022, it offers 107 air conditioned rooms with private balconies over the lake or gardens.

Eight restaurants and bars serve Ethiopian and international dishes made with produce grown on site and coffee grown by Haile himself. Two pools, a spa, a gym, and five event halls cover relaxation and business alike. From here, guests can visit the Bridge of God, take crocodile boat trips, explore Nechisar National Park and Dorze Village, or continue to the Omo Valley and Konso.
