Haile Resort, Hawassa

Haile Resort Hawassa is a beautiful lakeside resort located on the shores of Lake Hawassa in Ethiopia’s Sidama region. It is one of the key properties under Nziza Hospitality in southern Ethiopia. The resort was opened in 2010 by Ethiopian long-distance running legend Haile Gebrselassie and was the first property in the Haile Resorts group. It is located in the city of Hawassa, about 275 kilometers south of Addis Ababa and sits at an altitude of 1,685 meters. Over the years, it has become a popular place for weekend breaks and holidays, offering a peaceful stay by the lake with warm Ethiopian hospitality.

The resort has between 109 and 126 air-conditioned rooms and suites. Most rooms have private balconies with views of either Lake Hawassa or the gardens.
