Shipwreck Lodge

An extraordinary lodge with shipwreck-shaped cabins, set within a hauntingly beautiful landscape along Namibia's Skeleton Coast.

OVERVIEW

Shipwreck Lodge offers a unique and slightly surreal, luxury safari experience that really captures the spirit of this raw and rugged coastline in the Skeleton Coast National Park. The lodge features 10 eco-friendly cabins, each designed to resemble a shipwreck, with stunning views of the surrounding desert landscape and Atlantic Ocean. The cabins are cosy yet light-filled, with wood burners, large windows and private outdoor decks.

Located in a wild and isolated area, home to seals, jackals, desert-adapted lions, hyenas, and elephants, Shipwreck Lodge offers guided drives to explore and track the wildlife, as well as visits to the nearby Clay Castles, a stunning geological formation. The lodge also offers guided walks and birdwatching excursions.

After a day of exploring, guests can relax in the lodge’s main area, which features a lounge, dining area, and bar, taking a moment to appreciate the solitude and remoteness of this harsh landscape filled with geological history, as well as the breathtaking vistas of the everchanging desert and ocean.
