Namibian Guided Family Safari
A 15-day private journey from Okonjima to Sossusvlei, with a family-trained guide and “Guides in Training” packs for every child
This is a long, unhurried safari built around children, with one private vehicle and one family-trained guide from start to finish. Every young traveller receives a “Guides in Training” pack with binoculars, a magnifying glass, a bug viewer and a field handbook. This 15-day journey begins at Okonjima, where the AfriCat Foundation’s rescued predators bring conservation to life. It continues through Etosha, with game drives from an air-conditioned pop-top 4x4 and an underground hide at a waterhole. In Damaraland there are desert elephants, e-bikes and black rhino, followed by sea air and a possible boat cruise in Swakopmund. The journey ends among the red dunes of Sossusvlei, with a final night at Gmundner Lodge. The lodges chosen are ones where staff welcome children, so the days stay full for them and relaxed for the adults.
