Chobe Under Canvas
Chobe Under Canvas is a sustainable luxury, mobile tented camp with a prime location in the Chobe National Park.
OVERVIEW
Situated in the Chobe National Park’s northern reaches, Chobe Under Canvas is ideally positioned close to the river, and moved to new sites monthly so that the environmental impact is limited. The camp is unfenced with wildlife often wandering through, meaning this is the perfect option for those looking to get up close to Africa’s wildlife without sacrificing luxury. There are just five tented suites with ensuite bathrooms, and on-hand chef producing amazing food just using the campfire. The communal safari vibe is more authentic to the traditional African safari experience.
Game drives in specially adapted 4×4 vehicles are led by experienced local guides in search of Chobe’s famous wildlife, such as the endangered African wild dogs, or the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo). While peaceful river cruises along the Chobe River are an opportunity to spy zebra and lechwe on the plains, and watch herds of elephants come down to drink and swim in the river.
