Farm to Plate
Fresh produce served straight to your table. Truly the most special way to experience the tastes of Africa.
A Farm to Plate experience connects you with the food you enjoy during your safari. Many safari camps work with nearby farmers and growers to source fresh, seasonal produce for their kitchens.
Food tastes even better when you know where it comes from. Farm to Plate dining gives you the chance to enjoy fresh ingredients while learning more about the people and places that produce them.
Many properties source fruits, vegetables and herbs from nearby farms or their own kitchen gardens. Chefs then use these ingredients to create dishes that reflect the local area, often combining traditional African flavours with modern cooking techniques.
This approach can also support local farmers, encourage sustainable growing practices and reduce the need to transport food over long distances.
