Chimpanzee Trekking
It's possible to see chimpanzee in Uganda, Rwanda and Tanzania; all three countries have habituated groups that are relaxed in the presence of visitors.
These noisy troops are incredible to observe. Together with your guide you can get close enough to study their behaviour and take photographs.
The trek to reach them can be long and tiring and take anything from an hour to several hours to find them, depending on where they are and if they are on the move when you set out. The terrain is hilly and can be muddy and slippery, and you will likely have to pass through thick vegetation. This all adds to the adventure and makes finding the chimpanzee all the more rewarding.
